Went tro try a new spot but even riding a motorbike it is always a pain in the b$£@ to find a rightful parking space so i parked where i was yesterday and walked along the river.

So today was difficult lots and lots of big crusty iron i went slow and move along the foreshore in the opposite direction.Found 2 steel shots and lots of copper nails (eyes ony) couldt stop picking them up,they tend to concentrate with other bits of non ferrous.

Same settings today i even tun the manti at 8 to see if i was changing anything, but no luck.

Can wait to go back to the Beach with the 18"

  • The title was changed to Manticore On The Thames today

Where abouts (roughly) on the Thames are you searching?

I am up in North Wales so have never hunted the Thames...I am  curious how the  detecting and mudlarking works down there though..

I gather in London it's very tightly controlled with only a certain amount of permits issued?

I have seen a video of a couple of guys searching the actual estuary mud flats and they had a small hovercraft to get about!

Hovercraft yes 1 is my mate and did his 1st ever session on the river with me.

I search Batttersea,Putney Vauxhall  on the river and Kent beaches when i am on the coast

Got a full licence so can dig trenches or holes
