L David Keith
Research saves you time, money and effort while looking for elusive relics, old coins/caches or buried treasure. My favorite quest is searching for American civil war relic in the South. I've used many books and spent 10 years as a reenactor, all the while studying civil war tactics, maneuvers and living the life. It helped me understand how soldiers of the 1860s operated but doing good research was a big boost in finding the relics. Two inexpensive books I recommend are: "Finding Civil War Campsites in Rural Areas" and "Interpreting History From Relics in Civil War Campsites." Both can be found at these links on my website: https://www.dixie-metal-detectors.com/dmd-cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=99&products_id=993 & https://www.dixie-metal-detectors.com/dmd-cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=99&products_id=663 Those interested in both books can contact me and I'll ship both together and reduce the shipping. Information is the key! 4 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28751-looking-for-military-relics-old-coins-or-treasure-start-here/ Share on other sites
