There is kinda an elephant in the room... I really think Minelab intended the ML105 headphones to be general purpose, I love that they can be worn in hot weather and still afford the user Situational Awareness. That's important in the field, and sometimes on the beach 🙄

I'm still looking for wireless headphones that are quiet when it's not 105 degrees out, and loud enough with full frequency response like the ML105. The Killer B's will do for now.

I thank ML for underwater boost anyway, but it probably eats the already too short battery life. 🫤

Silencing ALL NOISE

They are the best stock setup you can use but not 100%, the db rating on them is 29. I use the Peltors 105s which are 31db and I use the Gel cells which help but the shape of the cup is the issue with high winds ..now a Hood over those no doubt would help. I can see the 2463s thru the mesh.. Great set of head phones used them with my Explorer SE on the drysand....

Wonder if applying Dynamat or adhesive neoprene foam to the outside of the shells would block out more sound.

Tried it all, wind muffs, foam, synthetic fur, and even a flat setup.. which worked great but just during the winter.. still to this day the best I have found and not perfect is a double hood with no openings for high winds.. nothing can remove or cover the pounding of the ocean waters against the shore.
