Awesome amount of jewelry! Looks like that lake hasn't been hunted much! I'd go back for some more.

I can certainly understand you getting out to the lakes instead of the beach.  Well done.

Tonight, I went out to watch fireworks and there was practically nothing even tho I was the first one on a cut.  I looked down and saw a little chain, grabbed it and a wave crashed over my boots.  It would have been gone before I got the coil over it.  It's just stainless and that was it.  The same last night and the night before.  Even the dry sand was bare.  It takes some short interval waves to wake up our beaches now.

Using the Manticore in the water confirms what Gerry does in Mexico.  It does good.

Are you using the waterproof headphones and a cord?

This lake has been detected a lot but the conditions are challenging and I think a lot of hunters get discouraged. It's taken me years to discover how and where to hunt it with the right detectors and scoops. Zero visibility and a lake bottom that includes rocks, clay, and fine compacted sand are a few of the issues. After a hunt there I feel as worn out as I used to feel after running marathons.

A Very good outing! Love the bracelet! Interesting ring also..

Thanks Joe, I enjoyed the hunt and the best thing about it was getting my friend out of the house after his health issues and his wife's passing.

Thanks M, I hear you about the local beaches - very few targets recently. Yesterday, however, we had some impressive surf and a little sand movement at a couple of spots that yielded a bit more silver and costume jewelry. My "used" Manticore came with a pair of "LS Pelso" corded headphones which have worked fine when my control box is submerged.

First class job!

The results worth all that pain & effort. Carry on that man!

Thanks stupot, the next day I was feeling it for sure and in no hurry to go detecting again but then the following day I did an all night beach hunt. I think I have a bad case of gold fever. 🤪

Awesome!!! not sure what your trash count was, but the goodie count is very good. 😎

Thanks midalake, I think I had about 40 coins and a like number of pull tabs. I dug a lot of foil too trying to find that elusive gold chain. In the mix were some lead fishing weights, lures, hooks, and a few bottle caps. Towards the end of the hunt I started skipping the high conductor targets in an effort to find a gold ring but I did dig a "94" which I thought could be a silver ring and it was!

Well, I have those as well - questionable friends AND old eyes. 😄

You'll never know the truth if you can't see the facts. Lasik eye surgery will open your eyes. This is I do know.😀

Unfortunately, some people completely obliterate the facts. 😔
