Chuck, I don’t know anything about romantic blood.

I do know Tony really well for many years since we are fellow Eureka Treasure Hunter club members.

He gets inside information that he can’t repeat. So do I sometimes.

Dilek opened the door and leaked it.

Any leak is better than no leak at all !

Dream’s is what keeps us all going . If that was not true then why we bother picking up a detector and start swinging it.

And Chuck, don't mistake my apathy as discouragement for you in bringing detector news scoops to the forum.  Thanks for catching this information nugget and posting it here.  My apathy is directed at the detector manufacturers not you.  At this point, they seem to be in recycling and repackaging mode, vice innovation.

With SMF now commonplace and affordable,

I am going to slightly amend that sentence. "With very effective SMF now commonplace and affordable"....

In my opinion, we have Nokta and their business model to thank for this, especially the affordable part.

Ground handling, waterproofing, recovery speed, target separation, target ID accuracy, ergonomics and price have been greatly improved since the Equinox 600/800.

The one area that I would like to see more improvement is in the ferrous/non-ferrous determination with less iron falsing but with less masking too for coin/jewelry/relic hunting. If that aspect can also be improved for VLF gold nugget prospecting, I might get some romantic blood flowing.

The Score models are really quite good. The backlit buttons, designated Relic mode which incorporates Beast mode on the Triple Score and the better user interface that some of us have wished for on the Legend may come true

That appears to be where the GM 2000 is going somewhat at the expense of the general detecting (coin/jewelry relic) bells and whistles of the Nox and Manticore.  Though nothing would really be keeping someone from using the GM2000 for coin shooting/relic hunting in hot dirt, as well. Wonder if Nokta is noticing...

The only Nokta that I want to see is the Nokta PI. The world needs a good, affordable waterproof PI more than it needs a tweaked Legend with a revamped menu system. Been a solid five years of talk so far and here it is July, summer half over. Even if officially announced tomorrow the all but inevitable gap between announcement and actual you can get one from dealer means it is looking more and more like something for 2026.
