Nice hunt, Locator!

Good to see some finds. Is that some sort of ring near the coin? Congrats on an old one.

I've hunted with a Tesoro Vaquero a few times, sure is a cool detector. πŸ™‚

Yes it is, F350Platinum. Think it some part of an old horse harness. I do not know what alloy, but a neodymium sticks slightly to it. So I think it a kind of stainless steel.

Yes, those Tesoros are nice and cool machines. Thanks for understanding me.πŸ˜‰πŸ˜„

Oh yes, it was fun, JCR. But on the silver I have to admit, it's only the color. It's made of aluminum. However, these coins were only minted for one year.

Those old 2-filter Tesoros might not be as deep as today's power-houses, and sure ..... they lacked TID, and perhaps wained in mineralized ground, but what they did very well was to :Β  Β See through small iron.Β  Β Like you could stack a rusty nail or two on top of a coin, and still get a hint of a conductor hiding there.Β  Β  So they made for good ghost townsy machines.

Its good to see those detectors being used. They are something we can just have good fun with. I like taking mine out occasionally too.

Well done !

Thanks stupot. Yes, it's a pleasure to swing these detectors. Well balanced and light weigh.

What you say, Tom. The ED120 is some kind of genius, and yes, these machines are great in unmasking. I really do not miss the display. And there are always two sides on a medal. You can dig one deep target or a lot of shallow's. I think the chance to have one or more good targets in all that shallow's will be much greater.😊

Nothing like a beep and dig hunt! Β  I still have a compadre. Β After reading your post I’m going to have to dust it off and take it on a hunt!

Well done and thanks for posting!

Hello NCtoad. Thanks for your reply. Do a good deed every day is my motto. And if I've awakened in you the desire to go hunting with your Tesoro Compadre, and you do, that would be wonderful.

Good Luck & Have Fun πŸ€πŸ€žπŸ€
