Pics From My DJI Mini 4k Drone

I went ahead and purchased the mini 4k by DJI. I chose this one due to the weight class. For those that may read this thread, if the drone you are considering is under 250 grams it does not have to be registered with the FAA.

I know some of you guys here already fly drones but this was my first time flying anything like this. 

Coming from the rc gas airplane hobby, I found that a drone is much easier to fly. You can let go of the controls and it isn't going to get away from you. 

For those who are considering possibly getting a drone but are worried about actually flying one they are very easy to control.

I found the app more complicated than the control of the drone itself.

It takes great videos as well. 

Here are some pics from my first flight yesterday. The first one is of the drone itself with my magnifying glasses for a size reference. Also it was cloudy and about 6:30 pm.

That’s really neat. Spectacular photos. You could think of all kinds of ways to have fun with that.

Yeah I have been thinking a lot of things with it. It is really fun.

Top i do believe i have the same made some videos in Costa Rica and Antigua and mother nature is beautiful.

Hi bigtim1973, you may have thought of this but that drone can be a very useful tool if you’re detecting.  For example like aerial and satellite imagery, in some cases the drone images can pick up ground details that are difficult to see on the ground.  Such as overgrown roads, trails and faint remains of foundations.  It can help reduce time and leg work and guide you to the hidden area you want to check out.  Best to you and your adventures!

It sure can. I use mine regularly for scouting.
