Ok, this year has been my worst at keeping up with DP, but where's the Gold Monster-2000 forum?

Silly me. For some crazy reason last night,  I thought it was it's own.  Thanks Steve.

The old Minelab would most certainly have one in my hands by now, as well as a select few others here in the US.  Today, things are different and us old timers who know what we're doing, are not part of their plan.

It's all about the social media clicks my friend.

Sorry Gerry you are what’s called a has been. Don’t get me wrong I know guys like you made Minelab but that’s when they needed you. Today Minelab has sporting stores that buy hundreds and you selling one at a time.
When the customer walked out your door that person knew what he just bought but with the other the customer don’t know neither did the person selling to them.

Again I’m sorry but that’s life so I’m told.

There are still plenty of us that value the small retailer. It's not all about saving a couple of bucks. Gerry reminds me of Virg's Sporting goods in Morro Bay when I was a kid. Old man Virg would ask me some questions, then offer me gear that made sense for what I was doing. The fancy rod and monster reel may look good, but was in no appropriate for me and he would explain what he recommended for me and why. I would always check with him on what fish were running and where and what they were biting on. I almost always caught fish on his recommendations.

Mark Twain's quote more true than ever.

So I learned then, that gold in it's native state is 'but dull, unornamental stuff, and that only low-born metals excite the admiration of the ignorant with an ostentatious glitter. However, like the rest of the world, I still go underrating men of gold and glorifying men of mica.

Aye, in this fast moving world no doubt we have aged irrelevant in a way.... sort of extinct like the dinosaurs. But don`t forget we did have a ML field tester give us a top detailed review. I know I lean a wee towards ML but that`s because I try the others but keep coming back to ML, why?... take for example the coming 2000 I know with much certainty it will be a producer... I`m not the Lone Ranger am I?😉
