Read The (Metal Detector) Bible

We seem to get a lot of speculation here in various threads about "the physics of metal detecting" or "metal detector electronics".  Sometimes that is accurate but it seems like more often than not, not so much.  So what's (or where can one find) the real answer?

The Bible.  If it's not in those 500+ pages then it's unlikely anyone knows.
