IP Australia have just uploaded pictures for Nokta's design application 202515510 - and it turns out to be Nokta's new high end (or improvement?) of the Legend - named The Legend 2. So a VLF and they have not gone down the path of giving it a unique name but kept the Legend name. So is it just a slight improvement on the original Legend or a significant improvement in performance? I have attached some pictures but there are more on IP Australia.

Wishing it has FBS/BBS ground analysis tech for the prospecting mode like the upcoming ML Gold Monster 2000... I'd probably be keen to ditch the GM2K if that were true. Guaranteed that it would be half the cost for a start.... 99% wishful thinking though....

If it looks like what you posted then you can see the face and not wonder what button did I push..

Thanks for posting so I can add this to my wish list.

I'm betting Manticore style screen with much easier and better menu navigation than the mixed-up mess that is the Legend.  That would allow them to improve it over time again without making such a user interface mess.

A well refined Legend. Looks pretty good.

Wish they had gone with their "old school" landscape displays like on the Anfibio, Impact, Kruzer etc.  But looking forward to the new feature set and menu navigation offered by this Legend variant.

I like the the streamlined look of the search coil.  More suited to submerged water hunting.

Well on IP Australia they lodged a patent on this screen design. Does it look like an improvement on the current Legend?

Looks more jam packed than the original. I didn't find the original  hard to navigate but many others complained. No target trace, just ferro check as far as I can tell. Other than lighted buttons I will be curious to see what upgrades they made. If the two are too similar it will kill the market for one of them. Kinda reminds me of the AT Pro-Max thing.
