Can anyone log into their Garrett Updater program on Windows?

I can login on their website fine, I try and use their updater tool and it rejects my password, I reset my password, same problem, I changed my password on their website, same problem.

I reinstalled the latest updater app, same problem.

It just has to be a problem on their end I think as it all works on their website, just the updater app can't login.

Updater version 1.0.36 working normally at my location, running under Win11.  I am able to login and proceed with connecting the detector.

My detector has V 9.09, so it displays "up-to-date".

The app updated to a new version when I started it. Log in worked OK.

Brings up the question, what happens if you sell it?

According to Garrett support, the ability to update the device is tied to the machine itself and its serial number, not the original owner's account.  Even though an owner has to "register" the Vortex by entering the serial number. Therefore, as long as the new owner has the serial number and follows the steps on the Garrett website to estabish an account and update the deivice using the updater app, they should be able to manage the device's software even if the device has been previously registered by a different user.  That's how it should work in theory.  I don't have any first hand knowledge of a new owner of a used Vortex testing the theory out.

Thanks for the help guys, it seems they've changed something, my email address has a full stop in it, and it appears it doesn't like that anymore though the app.  I changed my registered email address by logging into the webpage, going to my account settings and putting in my Gmail address which doesn't have the full stop, then I was able to login.

For those wanting to know, yes you can register a used device under your own account, I have Steve H's old Axiom, and I just registered it to my Garrett account.

It checked it once connected for the latest firmware, and found it has it already.

Good to know re: the full stop but something they need to fix.
