Everyone who has a 2000 on order has a couple of weeks to decide where you are going to go first.  What do you want to do with it first?

1. Go find missed gold in an existing patch with little or no trash

2. Try to find gold in the trashy areas

Maybe you have a different location?

I don’t know much about it, except for what JP has said. Do you think it will be a patch reviver after 6000’s and Manticores have been through an area?

I’d try new areas myself, because who knows?

I`ll go for 1. An old large mainly shallow patch (with very little rubbish) that produced mainly sub grammers, found initially way back in early 80s with a Garret A2B, most productive detector since was the Whites GM2. The SDC, Z with 10"Xcoil, 6K, GM1K and Algo recently with the Pirat coil have only scored a few each despite much time swinging. The GM2 vaccumed many hundreds of these scraps on this patch of fairly difficult ground, will the GM2K score high? Whilst I`ll tackle it positively, it`ll be magic to be pleasantly surprised. JPs positive review will keep me patient/positive.

So it does sound like there will be a revealing at those old patches. Nice!

I’m going back to the patches that VLF’s couldn’t handle the mineralization and the 6000 could not get the little ones left behind.

Aye GotAU that is a top patch name "The Revealing", because the GM2K handles mineralization like PIs and providing there is too small of pieces for the 6K & Algo/Pirat combo, it will be revealing. All speculation of course but Minelab have over the years consistently produced detectors that live up to their marketing burp. I`m excited.... Boys and our toys............😉

I have at least 50 spots that I can go to within 5 minutes of home. A couple have produced 1,000 bits +, mostly to older VLF detectors. Im hoping the old, flogged diggings have some tiddlers left and the well known surfacing patches that provided many hundreds of bits when the 6000 was released. Fun times ahead!
