I also have the Blue & Gray, but mine also has the volume control like a 6000di Pro SL. Apparently they made two types... But I never understood the performance differences; many were 5900di Pro SL with replaced decals and meters...

In terms of performance, is there a real difference between a Blue & Gray and a 5900di Pro SL?

Now that I know where you live in NZ, a quick Google aerial photo shows a newly built shed just for your pin-pointers. Streetview also captured a very tired looking postal worker hauling several packages.

Not really. Just made for a relic hunter with the meter change. Not sure about the CB. Composite board.
