Here is a site that has reviewed several of the Garrett detectors and they used Detector Prospector as a source!

Garrett have done well in their gold prospecting line of detectors, the Axiom took me by surprise, weighs nothing, super comfortable to swing and very close to the 6000 in performance.   Makes the 6000 feel like a cheaply made detector that's for sure.

A 24K with an Axiom would kit a person out pretty well without breaking the bank. I have not tried either, but see the writing on the wall. I drool from afar.

True, with an Axiom and a 24k that would cover many peoples needs very well.

I started with a forgettable Garrett entry level machine back in the early 80s. I lost count of how many of Charles Garrett’s books I bought. Even though that first detector was nothing special, I was hooked. I soon bought a Sea Hunter, went into the water and never looked back. Eventually I bought an Excalibur, and though it was nice to not have to dig much iron, I never found as much gold as I did with that Garrett pulse. One of my favorite detectors of all time.

I have thought many times of getting another, a guy forgets how much iron you dig when looking at the past with such fond memories. Now I dig a lot of foil instead of iron. Some guys never grow up.
