Awesome silver ring!

Thanks 1491,

Electrolysis worked great, I cleaned up some other silver rings I found in the past.

That's a great hunt. Lots of targets that have been there a while. No doubt that gold is in the area.

Thanks Compass,

No doubt. Found it before, but looked in the same spot this time. Wanted to see if anything else was there. 🙂

Relics and jewelry in one place.  Well done.

You've had people doing lots of swimming and beaching for hundreds of years back there.  The few great weather days you have now before the cold and the fields are ready should get you out.

Joe is the expert, but you might want to read his mentors books also.  They are amazing.  I bought two of them but I can't find them right now.

I'm always thrilled by this place, it often turns up stuff one doesn't see often on other beaches, but the really old thing I didn't expect to find came from another place. 🤔

We have a big storm coming up the coast this weekend, it will probably be a while before I can get out there again.

It's not very often I see a decent silver ring. Most of the ones I find are weedy!

Yours is a real belter. Nice filigree work and love the stone. Guessing 1940-50 ish if I'd found that here.

Thanks stupot,

I've found other stuff in that place from that era, since it says 925 instead of Sterling, you're probably right. I have another from the early 1900s that says Sterling.

I'm surprised because usually silver is so easy to find, as I recall the ID was kind of low. Most likely because of the thick oxide and crud coating.

Classy silver jewelry!  👍

Thanks Bill,

Sure didn't think I'd get something like that. 🙂
