Struth, some of you blokes come up with some silly stuff some times. I'm sure that JP would agree with me that to be involved in such 'entertainment' does nothing for ones credibility or integrity. JP has built his reputation as one who truly knows his craft and product, and really has no need for whatever reason to be involved in such 'true life drama'. I have already been approached some time ago about being involved in a 'gold themed show' but could not be bothered.

Many years back a local FNQ historical goldmine was purchased and restored very professionally to like as was in its hey days, for a tourist venture. After a period they contacted me if I was interested in a job helping tourists into detecting gold, I replied "it is not easy putting brief visitors onto gold in quick time" it was suggested that perhaps "salting" was the go, I curbed my anger and politely declined, they went bust a few years into the venture and were bought out by the current property owners who have operated successfully for many years an exclusive tourist operation in conjunction with its cattle operation. Gotta agree with Reg, dodgy operators flock to gold.

No, you are right. Because Reg would be straight up & not follow the BS script he would be told to follow.

Yep, that's what I was indicating.

A boss of mine was also a prospector wanted some photos to show gold in a promotion of a his mate business. That was OK but later on I recognised my hand and nugget in a news paper, of a lucky guy's find a couple of years later.

I bet a lot of that goes around- people have used my online images with permission for ads, but not some. There was a commercial website that used mine as a company logo without my permission and even went so far as to erase my copyright stamp and signature on the image! The company agreed to pay a royalty fee to me when I found it online and pointed it out to them.  In the U.S., newspapers can print news images without most copyright issues, but commercial use of them without the owner’s permission constitutes infringement.

Thanks Jonathan for the SPECK photos. Well done. My eye sight not being what it used to be, I just wondered, do you include a magnifying glass along with the complimentary scoop with each 2000?
