The GPX6000 threshold is chattery also so maybe it has to do with extreme sensitivity and high built in gain?

If you crank up the gain, the threshold does get chattery. The Echo Wave audio  also adds to this if its set too high. On 8-9 gain, and EW on 8, its not really noticeable.

You can’t adjust Echo Wave, it’s either on or off. You can however adjust the volume which is what I think you are referring to.

And yes if you want a buttery threshold then let go of the Max sensitivity, you can’t have both, so go down to 8 to smooth it out. Performance isn’t hugely affected till you get the sensitivity down below 6 or 7.

Yes JP, exactly what I have found. The warbling vanishes nicely at a gain of 8, but even 9 is OK. I keep EW at a volume of 7 or 8 as well. Seems to smooth the whole experience out.

Why does everyone like to turn the GAIN up to max and then complain about it?

JP and Aureous are correct and either drop the GAIN or go A1/A2.
