I will watch this a little later.

I just admit, today was the first time I took mine out to play with it.

I got to admit, it is not anything like I have ever used before. It is different for sure. Not sure if I am a big fan yet or not. Just being honest.

JCR

Thanks you for your time spent showing how to are what it takes to set up a Tarsacci.

I’m hoping the new XD Tarsacci will be more pleasing to the ears are can be adjusted to be so . At this time I’m not sure if I’m willing to spend the money are the time to learn the new Tarsacci.

 Thanks again!

So what was the target??

Ok thanks for the how to videos!

I didn't realize that on the threshold vs EMI

That will come in handy

Also I like the simple ground balance too. I think pushing the gb button and going to the soil seemed to work better.

And the salt and sensitivity modes how they corelate with each other is interesting and very different

I will go play with mine some more here in the next few days and see if I can make more sense out of it

Thanks for the video!!

The target wasn’t a charged camera battery, which is what I needed!  It was a cast iron window sash weight. That’s okay with me on an old site.

Having the AKA unit audio experience may really help ease your learning curve on the Tarsacci.  It is quirky for sure, but like any other high performance machine the key is learning the language,    and how to set up on a site to run intelligently.  Be sure you get the best sounding headphones to you on this unit. The factory ones sound weak and thin to me as does the external speaker.

I put the Tony Eisenhower headphones on mine and love them. Completely waterproof and submersible and really block the wind noise. Warm when the days turn cold. Intended to do some water hunting, but never did.

Check out DaveH on YouTube, his few short videos were very helpful to me. For some reason I am unable to create a link.

Ok so going out with settings JCR showed on his video I managed to calm this Tarsacci down. It ran more stable target ID numbers with the threshold adjusted to knock out the chatter. I think I ran it to minus 4 and all went well.

I buried a musket ball between a large square nail and also a large broken piece of square iron chain link.

This is a very hard target on all machines I have. My manticore will hit it but only for a couple of different directions.

I noticed while using salt engaged that it would not hit the musketball at all. With it off it would hit it from a couple of different angles.

So with that said I noticed all of the videos I have saw with guys saying to use salt mode will not necessarily work for me.
