Excalibur 3 Gold, 18 Silvers.. 4 Hour Hunt

Been using the Fisher AQ a lot but this trip out I was hitting a beach I was not sure of what I was walking into so the Excalibur always gets to go in first at these spots. The Excal was the perfect machine this trip, gave me a idea of what I can get away with.. I Found.. not much trash out deep and all shallow targets I dug in close were trash. Next few trips I will still be using the excal but the AQ will be on the boat.

 

18 silvers this trip, 2 half's, Franklin 53 & a 41 Walker, dimes ...several Mercury's/ 2 rose, 2  rings, 4 Wash quarters and 2 religious Meds, one which totally broke up from the salt water, and a silver small chain and 2 War Nickels 

1st gold target of the day was a butter yellow ring mark 900 (21.6k) which is date 10/3/27

2nd was a honker class ring 10k 19.93 grams

3rd a nice white 14k wedding band

 

 

 

 

Go Pro was good to me this trip, captured all on video. This past summer I had issues with each because of the heat.

Well that's a heck of a trip! Nice to see all that in one hunt. Hopefully a new spot for you to hit before the ocean takes it back.

Thanks SHN!  Luckily this spot is up one of the rivers off of the Bay so there is not a lot of sand movement. I was surprised to have found anything this trip, I hit the place in March with little to show from that trip.  But as we know, one door closes and another opens... you just have to be there at the right time.
