So what's the story with the instructions coming out late and people saying the recommended settings in those instructions work far better.?

I got the impression that it was not just the sound settings but general performance was better.

It may have been a story from Gerry or his team, but I don't recall.

I've not noticed any depth and sensitivity differences with Echo wave on or off, I think people are finding identifying targets easier with the audio of echo wave, not the actual performance.
