I'm curious, John. I how many hours did you spend recovering that?  It's a really nice vial of clean flour....don't see that much.

Jim

That looks like the gold I was getting off the beaches of Nome Alaska. Your pan bottom be covered in it and you have next to nothing when it’s sucked up in your bottle.

 But it’s still gold.

Well, 3-4 hours, 3-4 days a week for about 6 months. I just retired last year and prospecting is now my go - to hobby to stay in shape and enjoy the outdoors.

Big rivers and beaches really chew it up into dust. I bet you worked your hump off to trap that much flour gold!

How are you processing your gravel?

I run it down on small V-mat x 2. I safe those concentrates, that at the end of the year, I screen them down to +50 & -70 then through the blue bowl. I don't do it for the money....rather, I get paid to get a good workout 3-4 x a week.

That is exactly what happens. A lot of people see those pans, run out and spend oodles on equipment, only to realize how much work is involves for so little gold and quit after a year. Of course there are some die-hards around too.
