Looking for a used set of headphones, ML -85 , but I might buy a set of used ML 105 or just the headphones adapter for an equinox. If your selling any of these, let me know what your thinking price wise, I live just outside of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Thanks

Just to be clear for folks not intimately familiar with the ML audio accessory model numbers, it appears you are looking for Equinox 700/900 compatible wireless audio gear (not the older 600/800 Equinox wireless gear which is not cross-compatble) including the WM-09 wireless receiver, correct?

You are correct. I’m looking for the ml85 headphones that work with the equinox 700,900, manticore and xterra elite.. the headphones adapter though works with all the equinox machines as well as the manticore and xterra pro and elite.. I’ll buy the adapter if anyone has one..

There are two different Equinox wireless receivers (for wired phones): WM-08 for the Equinox 600/800 and the WM-09 for the Equinox 700/900/xTerra Elite/Pro/Manticore.  The WM-09 is not compatble with the Nox 600/800 and the WM-08 is not compatble with the Nox 700/900.

  • The title was changed to Minelab ML85 Headphones, Possibly A Equinox Adapter Or ML105 Maybe

Gotcha.  Thought you just wanted wireless, my mistake.  You don't need to use the expensive ML headphone adapter if you are just trying to plug in detecting headphones that have the larger 1/4-inch phone plug.  Any stereo 1/8" plug to 1/4" jack adapter will do.  I have some that will work for you or you can purchase them from Amazon or ebay.

Here is an example:

Thanks for the link, if it’ll work on the manticore I’ll order it tonight. I just wanted somththing to plug my Z link into. I definitely prefer my earbuds to regular headphones of any kind, I have about 4 sets of gg,killer bs, Sunray’s etc if I want headphones with the Z link.. but the earbuds are my go to and have used my Z link on so many machines for that purpose .. I had tried a similar adapter like you have shown on the equinox 800 but the black plastic on the 1/4 side wouldn’t let the plug go the whole way in the equinox

Ok.  So you are trying to plug your Z-Lynk transmitter into the Manticore.  The above adapter cable should work as the mini-phone plug diameter should be small enough to plug into the recessed Manticore headphone jack.  But now you are dealing with two cables, the one that plugs into the Zylink transmitter with the right-angled 1/4" plug on one end and the USB micro plug on the other end and the adapter cable which is about a foot long.  It's functional but claptrappy.  If you are willing to roll the dice, you might want to try the cable below.  It has a 1/8" mini plug on one end that should plug into the Manticore ok and a micro-usb plug that should mate with the ZLynk transmitter.  It theoretically should work but I haven't personally verified it.  Gets rid of the two-cable and plug claptrap if it works.  If it doesn't, Amazon should accept the return.

This cable should theoretically substitute for the Garrett Zlynk cable circled below.

Let us know which way you decided to go and how it turned out.  Good Luck.
