Happy New Year

Thank You and Happy New Years!!

So am I, I do remember when I was hunting 3 to 4 times a week no matter the conditions. Those were the good years, a bit older now so see how this goes. Mainly, I want to do it to stay in shape, but I will take the treasures...💰

Your ROI looks very good.  Just think what that pile will look like going once a week.

Thank You! Blessed..... I had some very good years when I hunting 3 to 4 times a week. I did stop hunting for a while but the last 16 months I've slowly got back into it and decided to play the tides this time around so I can get out further which has paid off..  2025 I had several hunts with multiple golds....

  • The title was changed to Gold For The Last 14 Months...43 Rings 2 Misc..

Very impressive Joe but not as impressive as my stash of s**t Tungsten 🤣........my gold for last year is the worst by a huge margin from the "Golden Years". I am thinking about hunting overseas !

Joe, you are a great inspiration for me but I am finding less and less each year......super deep sands here and a coastline that runs just about a perfect North-South usually means very difficult surf conditions unless the winds blow hard from an Easterly direction AND the swell decides to calm itself down below 5 feet. What with the cost of gold these days....maybe people are extra careful with what they wear to the beach. So many "amateur' hunters are also a factor and their sheer numbers makes up for any poor techniques.....and probably another factor is the professional hunters with their "lost and found" services ready 24/7. I certainly don't begrudge anyone having their jewellery returned to them and I have returned a great deal myself. There just isn't much "historical" lost items to be found. I think water conditions are much harder these days, at least where I live and hunt. I know 100% that there are hundreds of rings buried down several feet and the sand rarely seems to move away....it's either coming off the lower beach into the water and/or being pumped in from the deeper water sandbars. We have a tiny tidal range as well so hunting low tides is hardly beneficial. But here I am still trying to unlock the key to these deep sand beaches.....why was it easier 20 years ago?

If I was new to the hobby now.....I'd last a week before quitting "this madness" 🤔

You and a couple others here inspired me to actually get in the water Joe, and 2025 was a banner year for me. Thanks. 👍 Looks like you get out farther than I do from the amount of men's rings you find!

That is one heck of a haul, I can see a few that my wife probably would have wanted, not many get into my collection. 🤪

So far I've found a couple that fit me but nothing is better than the one she got me 17 years ago. She has a "universal" hand size. 😅

I wish you a safe and happy and rewarding new year as well.

Thank You! I feel for you on those new age junk rings. I might be seeing a few this summer for my plans are to start checking out some of the fresh drop beaches. Most are over whelmed with new and old hunters so Im not expecting much other then a workout.

I know how it feels to have your best spots change over night from the weather. Not much we can do besides think outside of the box and keep swinging.

I hear the same from some of my friends on the Ring Finders, luckily I don't see any where I hunt. Im sure they affect a lot over time.

Good Luck buddy! Hope something comes along and makes some good changes for you! I know if its there your Manticore will be ready.
