I wonder if there are dealers who like trade ins anymore. My dealer of 30 years no longer accepts trade in. He will probably close before very long and I will miss him. I am wanting to clean out all my detectors and start next season clean with one and maybe a backup. Still not quite decided what to get, but the field is narrowing as march approaches.

List it in the classified here and you may get more money than doing a trade. Not everyone can buy a new detector and you just could have what they wanting but can’t afford new.

Who knows you may have something I want.

If the business has its own workshop and spare parts for purchased equipment are readily available at reasonable prices, as was the case with White's and Tesoro in the past, then accepting used equipment as a trade-in shouldn't be a problem. Today's company policy aims to sell new products with matching accessories. That's why most new detector models have almost identical features, but differ significantly from their predecessors or namesakes. And most accessory connections are different.

I would think twice about taking a device as a trade-in. Although a well-maintained Tesoro or White's detector always sells.🙄😉

Chuck,

I have no idea what these things are worth, but every detector I have is on my profile there. I have collected so much stuff over the years. 4 pinpointers, scoops, diggers, i am a loss to remember it all. I just wondered if there was any of the old fashioned horse traders were still out there.

My dealer is elderly now and in poor health. I do not expect to see the likes of him again, he was the last of them here. All progress leaves something behind.

Just remember you can come down in price. So put a price on the item you want to sell and you could put OBO . I can assure you if the price is right it will sell right away. Please post pictures .
