Luck you say?  Luck is swinging over a target and getting a recovery.  Error is when you leave your luck behind!

Lunk is on to something and still trying to perfect his results to the fullest.

That's one of the reasons you on my Staff good buddy.  Even though we all know your a wiz bang of a detectorist, you'll still trying to be "most proficient for your time in the field.

Well done and shown, as expected.

Maybe we should discuss this at the upcoming Field Training in Quartzsite, AZ?

See you soon.

That is a really smart idea. I don't get much time in the field and I have resorted to a short shovel for fast target acquisition.

Only drawback is if covering a lot of area with a lot of junk it could be hard to figure out where the good stuff came from.

Best practice is to only bag up once production kicks in, in other words identify all signals until the gold yield starts to come into play then begin the efficiency process to speed up recovery.

JP mentioned it here, but I haven't seen anyone on the forum do it yet, so I thought I would take the initiative…

On New Years Day, I decided to try maximizing target recovery with my Gold Monster 2000 during the next few outings by pouring each target-laden scoop of dirt into a bag, and panning it out on my next day off. This method, combined with the GM2k's outstanding discrimination system, allowed me to make the most efficient use of my time in each detecting session by isolating and recovering only the most promising non-ferrous targets. So, without further ado, here are the results:

That's great. I started doing that yrs ago with my then at the time Whites Goldmaster. There'd be a lot of shoty pellets but gold too. It's a good method. 👍
