I modified my post accordingly.  I wanted to do exactly what you proposed (Relic + General) but its more like Relic ver A on Channel A and Relic Ver B on Channel D.  Also, per the video, Channel 2 can only be OFF, All Metal, or DISC (which is basically two-tone only).

I was wrong about the Stereo jack adapter.  Near the end of the live stream they did say that new stereo jack adapters will eventually be available for purchase.

Also, no stereo output from the remote's multifunction jack.

And they also mentioned a new 4th audio option in addition to PWM, Square, Hi-Square, and now Lo-Square.  Lo-Square can be used regardless of whether you have mono or stereo phones.

I agree, but will reserve judgment until the software update is released.

Based on the video demonstrations with stereo audio this specific capability seems very compelling.

Responding to Fishersari's graph, the mono program cannot be combined with a multi-frequency program...also, does anyone know if they said during the live what else will change with the new update?

The concept is very interesting, but I don't think it will capture additional finds that a well configured mono sound program can do.  We shall see.
