What Detector Has Found You The Most Gold?

Just curious what detector in your arsenal has found the most natural gold for you.

The Manticore has found me the most

The gold kruzer probably comes in 2nd for number of pieces, but probably a close tie with the axiom for weight.

The 6000 hands down.  But give me a couple seasons on my new 7000 and we will see.

Most gold i ever got and alot easer was with a Keens gold dredge. I love doing that. I did use a MXT in AZ. one time and fround a horse shoe, what was got it in the GPAA mag. was the hoof was still on it. Look quit old, that is why it was the best find.

Depends on how it is determined, Biggest - Whites GMT by far.  Most pieces - Equinox 800.

The GMT does not equal the sensitivity of the Multi Frequency machines on the smallest targets, BUT it handles bad ground very well, and the info constantly available on the screen is second to none, just a sweet to use detector.

Manticore, 6000, Gold Monster, in most to least order. Heading out with a trio this weekend to play around and do some field testing - my Manticore, Axiom (had to sell the 6000 for financial reasons), and original Los Banos Gold Bug 2.

Want to bet which one finds the most pieces and which one the heaviest total? I think it’s the manticore for heaviest (but hope the Axion comes through with one this time), and probably the Gold Bug 2 for most pieces. Or maybe they’ll all find exactly the same amounts-one big skunk! 😉

I think that the massive totals found years back would have been with machines like the Garret Deepseeker, maybe the Whites or even the Bounty Hunter RB7. Later came the Groundhog and then the first Minelabs like the 15000 and shortly later the ground breaking 16000, the first auto ground tracking detector. The coming of the first Minelab pulse induction produced some pretty big hauls. A friend of mine returned from a short trip to WA with over 400 ozs. It damned near covered a pool table. Today I use a 6000 which suits me fine, but I doubt it could ever produce as much as some of those old machines. It was a different time.
