My headphones arrived today no factory packaging at all loose in the box with just a piece of brown paper everything was just rattling around in there. Does that seem normal to you guys?

Hi @Dcraun. Wow. 😲 I share your feelings. It's unacceptable to pay a high price and then receive goods that aren't ready for resale. Even if the seller tests the item, I still expect it to be put back in its original packaging and shipped that way.🙄

This "I don't care" mentality is disgusting.🤮 I would never order from them again.😠

Europe has strict laws about minimizing the use of ink and packaging materials for environmental reasons.

Similar "EPR" laws are currently going into effect in Colorado, California, and some other states. Manufacturers will soon be taxed (by weight) for the amount of cardboard, ink, and plastic that ships with their products.

And yes, that additional cost will be added to the price of products.

Usually, the black plastic clamshell box is at least secured with some tape so the backphones won’t get loose in the box like they did in your case. If there was no tape on that black case, that was the dealer/distributors fault and not XP’s fault.

Regarding "not ready for resale" and "don't care" commentary, the manufacturer (XP) is shipping these phones to distributors and dealers without traditional packaging material (branded boxes, etc) for the reasons cited above (they are being finacially incentives to minimize packaging waste) -  It's up to the dealers to securely pack the phones in the shipping package to end users.  Honestly, its no big deal as long as sufficient cushioning (wadded paper, bubble wrap) was provided in the last-mile shipping package.  I'm perfectly happy not to have to bother with throwing out useless merchandise packaging.

At least you got some brown paper 🙃 recently got two coils in a big enough box that one of them could spin around in.. No sign of anything else in the box🥸 The original plastic (with paper endrings for hanging them up in stores) had holes from the coils rubbing against each other.. 🙄

🙄

That was not the worst either, as one coil was used, resealed, but full of sand and scratched.

This was only shippers fault, not manifacturer nor seller. The poor seller probably got a bit frustrated with the shipper..
