There is no Andy Sabisch book released on the Deus 2.

Yes. I do own his Deus 1 book and thought that was decent. It does give some insight at least into how Deus organizes things, and basic operation. I was just surprised that no one has written a book on the Deus2 that I could find.

With all the changes now coming with V4 and the stereo components I find myself a little confused on how it is all going to work. It is my intention to buy one of these soon, and really V4 did not at all enter into that decision. Since it is now a fact I wish to put together a package that takes full advantage of this bonus development.

Then with V4.1 on the horizon, I have just decided to wait for it all to settle out so I can get some sense of the thing before I get one. I was only looking for some reading material to come up to speed. Guess I will wait for 4.1 and the updated owner’s manual to sort it all out with.

That would be the smart thing to do (IMO).

I would wait at least until XP starts selling retail D2 bundles that includes the new Stereo headphones.  Hopefully, a pretty bug free 4.X version will also be on the street at that point.

In the 3 years since D2 was released in early 2022, there have been a number of major feature updates that were announced months or weeks in advance.  That includes a number of significant beta version releases in 2022, the first non-beta version of the base firmware 1.X nearly a year and a half after initial release that included a number of new settings and features, the release of the Xtrem Hunter 2-box coil and Version 2.0 with additional non-Xtrem Hunter related improvements about 4 months later, and then the long-rumored rollout of the HF2 coil and Ver 3.1 last summer and now Stereo Multiprocessing with Ver 4 last month.  Makes it difficult to commit to publishing a print version of a handbook and keep it relevant with a detector model that has such a fluid feature set upgrade timeline.  That probably partially explains why no D2 handbook exists.
