Nice one, NC. 🏅

Glad you're out and about. Great finds!

It's always interesting to find old gold, I presume it's not engraved.

Congrats on the silver and other old round things. 👍 🍀

That is a very good hunt. It just goes to show you can never count out a past productive site. The ring is nicely unusual.  Wonder if the N X on the token means No Exchange?

Thanks Bob!   Yes, the ring does have 3 initials engraved on inner surface.  I tried looking up the date (1961) and the nearest highschool to where it was found, but no luck.  I’ll admit this:  I’ve returned three class rings thus far since I began metal detecting.  One was the biggest gold ring I’ve ever found.  In all three cases the owners weren’t very enthusiastic with happiness that they got they’re ring back.  It was more like “oh, wow, you found my ring”.  I got much more enthusiasm and an offer to pay me (I declined) when I returned a fairly new iphone.  After my last return I decided I wouldn’t go to any great lengths of finding owners anymore.   I’m turning into a pirate!   Lol

🏴‍☠️💍Arrrr! 🤣

I don't blame ya. Gotta say I've had better luck, and all I ask for is a pic of them wearing it. So far I've got a few thrilled people under my belt.

I do have one that I tried every way I could think of to return, but it may go into the melt category with some other ones to frame my first gold coin 🤔 if that ever happens... 😬

...But I'll have to find a chain too. 🤔

NC...I congratulate you on the result...the number of targets is definitely surprising...

Very dry terrain,,,,and on the contrary, very frozen terrain can affect the response of targets....You can see this very often when testing detectors....
Wet terrain often allows...to achieve better response to targets that are in the ground...

One of my recent excellent and deep finds was found on 30 years of detected terrain,,, which was really wet and strongly conductive...so I used multifrequency with conductivity elimination..digging the target was really easy...because the terrain was like butter...

One of my colleagues congratulated me and attributed this find to the condition of the really wet terrain...on this day..
