It seems this Echo Sonic Pro implies some kind of subtle target differentiation/identification via stereo audio? I wonder if they mean depth, or target type, shape, or all?

But if this feature is stereo, then does it not work on just the single WM14 they include?

I think their "Nuanced Stereo" is defined; A nuance is a small difference in sound, feeling, appearance, or meaning.

This new Echo Sonic Pro has me intrigued also. I have been trying to learn more about it on it’s abilities to split the sounds. Guess we will have to wait on JP’s explanation of its true response of sounds before we get to understand how it’s actually working.

Can anyone talk about the audio in a little more detail for the lay-person?
And, can the newer level of audio only be heard through the included headphones?

All I've read so far is the WM14 is only a mono speaker so it doesn't work through that but you can use any stereo headphones either attached to the WM14 or directly to the detector.

Wow, pretty deep for that nugget.

JP talks about the gold being right ear dominant in that ground. Interesting.

Yea, I've read that ground noise is most likely to show in both ears, actual real targets be it gold or something else in left or right ears as the dominant signal depending on target.   People with bad hearing in one ear maybe will want to use a stereo to mono adapter to prevent this, I would prefer it the other way around.

The 8000 program allows for the sound output to be changed from stereo to mono so looks like Minelab engineers realised the issue people with hearing problems in one ear would have with the different sounds going to different ears in the stereo mode.

Note what JP said in his recent farcebook video, he heard ground response in both ears, then a shift to predominantly right channel, which indicated the target.

Those with 303 damaged right ears may be at a disadvantage. A good stereo booster with channel balance might be needed, or channel swap, as my left ear has far better definition.

I'm unfamiliar with the Echo Sonic Pro tech, so maybe the ML Engineers realised many of us veterans have industrial hearing deficits, and compensated for it somewhere in the settings so we all gain full benefits from this new device.
