Hello fellow gold prospecting enthusiasts.

I am looking to consolidate my detector collection by selling most of them in order to purchase an AlgoForce E1500.

Of my collection I am considering keeping my White’s TDI, Goldmaster 24K and selling my Goldmonster 1000, White’s MXT Pro, GMT, Garett AT Pro, Garrett Ace 200 x 2. Anyone of my colleagues care to way in and advise me otherwise- or affirm my choices:)

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

  • The title was changed to Looking To Buy AlgoForce E1500 And Consolidate Existing Detector Collection

If you get an E1500, is there something the White's TDI will do that the Algo won't?  I don't know if the White's TDI exclusive coils (i.e. made specifically for the TDI) will work on the E1500 but the aftermarket coils from many other manufacturers which were compatible with the TDI will likely work in the E1500.

Have a nice day.

Personally, I would only keep the Garrett 24k and coils compatible with AlgoForce.

I believe that the AlgoForce is more sensitive and deeper than the Whites TDI SL, or am I wrong?

Martin,

Thanks for the response. I’m not sure the TDI coils are compatible with AlgoForce. I know the Minelab SD, GP and GPX are compatible. My problem is, I suspect, I am sentimental and get attached to things sometime. My wife tells me that all the time:) But I see the logic in keeping the Goldmaster 24K and getting the Aldo force. I think with those two  I reckon I have all the bases covered.

Thanks again.

I would still keep a non-prospecting capable VLF if it were me and  you do more than just looking for gold, the AT Pro or MXT Pro which ever you prefer.  The Algoforrce Target ID's do not operate like a VLF and can't replace a VLF for target identification.

The Algo runs most GPX compatible coils, some will run without ultra fine mode (loss of a bit of sensitivity) if they're out of the tight specifications required to run in that most sensitive mode, you can now force them to with the latest firmware but results will vary by coil.  A majority of coils I've tried run in ultra fine mode though, some older coils are more likely to be a problem, or random Nugget Finder coils, side effect of being handmade I think.

I've never owned a TDI but believe the Algo is a more sensitive machine.
