Have to concur with Cipher... beach conditions round my parts of the big pond are very challenging...

Recently switched over from the Carrot to the Tek Point and in my specific conditions the Tek beats the Carrot hands-down..

Very stable....no issues...no fuss...finds the sweet spot quick ?

I concur with Dean, am using one myself for couple a years now and as he's said, an excellent machine which should sniff-out the silvers chop-chop with solid TID's, even in challenging soils....

Mine scales at 4.6 grams...which is very similar to your  1st 2....but that last big one  in your pic = wow!! Nice!

Yeah....always check your finds Norm...myself recently assumed a coin to be current local currency but turned out to be sweet-sweet silver from way back..

Nuke..the Palladium 950 is on-par with 18kt gold value more-or-less these days......

Solid 12/13 VDI  about 6" deep & underwater...

Average once a year I take all my gold rings 'n stuff to a local goldsmith lady to be melted down..

My Domestic CEO then gives her a specific design and the goldsmith only charges her for labor..

To me this is excellent value addition to my finds as the independent sworn valuation on the new handmade & custom piece afterwards is usually 2.5 - 3x the total cost..(spot price of the gold including labor)..

My 800 seems to do just the opposite, as soon as pinpoint activated it is really loud for a couple (2-3) seconds and then comes down to more acceptable level once "locked-on"...

Personal observation on VDI #'s with regards to corrosion/oxidation:

Standard Namibian $1 coin (brass alloy) = 18

After couple years in the drink = 12

You are spot-on regarding the Namib Desert....very unique and strange..

All things considered my guess will be to place this ring more towards modern era'ish.....

Affirm...about 99.9% on the coast with very occasional inland detecting

Bearing in mind that most rivers in Namibia are ephemeral and that the Namib Desert is vast......all these places are untouched and has not seen human presence for many-many years..I could do detecting 24/7 for years and still not even scratch the surface...

This beauty was hiding right underneath a lead sinker. (7oz Fishing weight)

Got a 22/23 with additional 12/13 reading...dug out the lead sinker and re-scanned..

12/13 ....reading, then BAM! Thank you Ma'am!!

Needless to say, am SUPER STOKED!
