We shall keep this post alive as we use this setup and report back on any red flags. Im completely sold on this setup though. I think its going to work like a champ.

Yep just weighed mine with the 6 inch coil confirmed 2lbs 10 ounces.

My Golden Mask Telescopic rod and conversion kit came in today. I got to work on it to move everything over. While I waited for this I also had picked up the 6 inch coil for this setup. I didn't like the Golden Mask Arm sleeve. So I took off the Minelab and did some dremeling to the inside assembly to make it work on the Golden Mask. I also had to drill out a larger hole for the Arm Assembly to fit tight so it wouldn't move around. This turned out perfect. I had to use a longer screw to get it all put on the Golden Mask Telescopic Rod but it works and is solid.

I got mine with the conversion so it was easy to put the body onto the Golden Mask rod. Pictures below. Im glad I did this and really enjoy how versatile this is now.

i'd have to disassemble everything to do a comparison weight between the two... I should have maybe thought of doing that first off but I didn't. I can tell you, I, myself, didn't notice a discernible difference in weight between the two shafts.

Gerry I can weigh my EQ600 with the standard rod setup and you can weigh yours with the Golden mask. Do you have just the 11 inch coil or the 6inch on yours? I just got my 6 inch today so I can weigh both or even without. Let me know.

Np at all my friend. I appreciate your assistance on the effort. Yeah I try to be resourceful and just use the info you gave me and got hooked up with him. I will let you know for sure once it arrives and how I like it. Hopefully I can fit this into my case without having to break down the detector with this new Shaft.

To clarify for those that still may be questioning what you get in the kit, here it is:

You get everything: 

The Golden Mask collapsible carbon fiber shaft with cuff,

The adapter w/all the hardware to mount your Equinox 600/800 control box/head unit/hand grip to the thicker Golden mask shaft

Nylon coil bolt and rubber washers. (I just used my Minelab nylon bolt)

Essentially... the only thing you need is a Minelab Equinox 600 or 800 and nothing else.

Yep I had to clarify that to him when I talked with him. Its the complete Kit to get your minelab on the Golden Mask Telescopic rod. 4 weeks to ship to USA so be aware of that.

EL no mess up with adapter. I guess Im confused by your question. I was just seeing if it would be doable to purchase from there site. Which it is not. I do believe my Telescopic pole i ordered will come with it but not totally 100% so I will determine that once I get the Telescopic Here is where I ordered it. 

Just confirmed that the one he is sending me comes with the adapter so Im all set. ?

Actually Im already in talks with him and have since ordered the Telescopic pole. so we are good. Thank you sir. appreciate your assistance.

So just for fun I went and added it to the cart on their website. I tried to go through the shipping info and they do not have USA listed to send to me there. I went ahead and sent them an email in Czech to see if they would reply to me about shipping to the USA. So we shall see what they come back with.

I looked at that. Supposidly the Telescopic pole has everything needed to attach the equinox to it. So Im going to wait till I get that to check it out and make sure. If it does not then I will be ordering from your link you posted.

I found falkone2001 and the Telescopic rod, but the post says he does not ship to the USA. Do you think that changed since you bought yours?

Ok I reached out to him and he got back to me. He sent me a link to an add he has for UK and that one allowed me to purchase. He's going to send me a total for shipping when he gets home. Think I am set.

I just realized that you're not in the U.S. As I recall, I thought I checked that site you mentioned to possibly order that GOLDEN MASK SHAFT CONVERSION KIT for the Equinox and sending it to the U.S. was not an option. That's why I was glad to find that seller, falkone2001 on eBay.

Hey fellas. New here to DP and this is my first post but have been lurking for a while. Ive been on T-net since 2012.  I would love to get in on the action for this Telescopic conversion for my new Nox 600 (see Im already learning the Equinox lingo) I have been metal detecting for many years though. So know way around a good field or park. This would be a great thing to have so I can carry it in my pack on my back. Where are you guys buying the Golden Mask Telescopic shafts? Is that still an overseas purchase or can I get it State side?

Dan I notice your adapter is a bit different then the one they are ordering from overseas. Can you tell us more about that? Or is that just the stock Nox adapter and you found a different size shaft?
