  1. I am in the learning process with this detector & to much information at once can be confusing. I have a hard copy of the factory owner's manual as well as Andy Sabishch's Equinox series Handbook. What I was looking for were a couple of actual programs that had already been used in The Culpeper area with the EQ 600. I wanted to spend as much time detecting as possible & not  all of my time learning the machine, I can do that here. I can use the factory preset programs & make adjustments to the best of my ability but The Culpeper area is not the normal place to hunt. Just looking for a little help from someone who's used this machine there.

    Thanks

    PS

Culpeper last year with a Garrett Ace 350 & Garrett freedom Ace - would like to try better machine this year.

  2. Does anyone have a good program already tried that worked well in Culpeper, Va. that they wouldn't mind sharing with me. I purchased an Equinox 600 a couple of weeks ago and will

be going back to Culpeper shortly. I will be trying my own programs but don't want to spend the whole trip hit & miss as I am not one with this detector, not yet

anyway. Can use PM, E-mail or post. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Hello Roy - Thanks for asking.

Some customers have told us that the Equinox 600 / 800 do not like the Bluetooth 5.0 version of the SR-71 Stealth Headphones. Other customers have told us that they work fine with the Bluetooth 5.0 version of SR-71 Stealth Headphones. I'm not sure which is accurate, but just to be safe, you may want to try a version of headphones that uses Bluetooth version 4.1 or 4.2.

All current stock of available SR-71 Stealth Headphones uses Bluetooth version 5.0.

The Minelab ML-80 are basically the same headphones, but they are still using an earlier version of Bluetooth. The other only real difference is that we have custom tuned the EQ curve in our headphones so they have a much clearer sound.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind Regards,

    Good Afternoon,

I wanted to contact you before purchasing this headphone.
Question: Will the Miccus SR-71 wireless headphones work properly on the MineLab Equinox 600/800 metal detectors?
Are they the exact headphones as the Minelab ML-80 ?
  4. New member here from Myrtle Beach, S.C. Glad to be here on the DETECTOR PROSPECTOR FORUM with all you fine folks.

I've been metal detecting for about 40 years with coin shooter type detectors at on the beach, parks and such. Juse last week received

my Equinox 600 and thought I'd do some out of state Civil War relic hunting with my Son. Thanks for having me..
