If the Equinox didn't exist and these two came out we wouldn't be thinking of them as entry level and I doubt their manufacturers would either.  They are inevitably going to be compared against high end models.

This aged very well and was 1000% accurate!

There will most likely be another update, using suggestions given by current Simplex users with current update.

Some complaints by those who want to revert back a version or two. Not recommended.

Also the new accessory coils will not work with any Simplex that hasn't been updated to the current version.
Guess this is why the accessory coils haven't been made available yet.

Who knows how far this Simplex project is going,on its way to being the perfect product? For the price this detector is getting better and better.

 

It now has a mute function. I tested it last night after updating aand works great.

I did the same thing. I got 2 toys for less than the price of 1!

I listened to a podcast on Spreaker. This was prior to the launch.  The lady who was the Minelab rep said it was updateable. It was the push I needed to buy one. I beleive the podcast was American Digger magazine Episode playes as a rerun November 25, 2019

I just decided to have both. I bought the Simplex forst and enjoy it. I wanted the Multi IQ tech as a secondary machine. They are both so inexpensive that it made sense to just buy them both. I ordered rechargeable batteries for the Vanquish 440 and I am set. best of both worlds.

Watch it be an At pro with rechargeable batteries and a back light. and a 12 inch coil, cause captain america shield size coils are all i can buy!
