About Me

I'm a dabbler, many interests covering a wide spectrum of topics.  Probably the epidemy of "Master of None" - Like the song says "There never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do, once you find them".  As a boy, my grandfather was a White's distributer and ran a Gem & Mineral shop in Upstate New York, I went out a couple of times with him (I'm 63 now so it's been a while).  Over the years I've gathered equipment for prospecting, my younger brother has a couple of dry wash/portable gold separators and since I now live in Nevada I figured I'm in a good place to finally try some of this stuff out.  I found the MTX at a pawn shop for $200 a couple of weeks ago and hope to figure out how to use it (via YouTube) and try my luck.  I have a couple of friends who want to try Metal Detecting so I need to be able to show them how the things work.
