I run with 2 lower shafts. The original has the standard M11 while second has the M8 usually but swap out the M8 for the M15 if on the beach or intend covering a larger area. Tend to use the M8 and M11 more than the M15. That said I may pick up another lower shaft at a later date if I get too lazy when it comes to changing coils. i had the same set for the Equinox 800.

G'day all, I just stumbled across this forum and looks like a good source of info. Currently use the Minelab Manticore but came from an Xterra 70 way back and then the equinox 800 which has now been inherited by the missus. Have the M8 and M15 addition coils along with an extra lower shaft to allow me to swap out coils quickly. Currently using the standard headphones that came with the Manticore but have the WM09 module so I can use other headphones. I am an all round detectorist - just happy to get out the fresh air. Being retired I have a lot of opportunity. have good detecting day folks.
