A big shocker for me - the elliptical version of the coil is said to operate at 20, 40, and 80 kHz! (See video). Is this what we will see in the high frequency elliptical for the DEUS? The round HF coil is said to operate at 15, 30, and 60 (56) kHz which is in line with what has been previously advertised.

Yes Steve, XP launched the HF coils first in Africa at half the price (African elliptical has better frequencies...).

About Depar 600: It lacks many of the features found on the Deus such as:
-wireless headphones (and can't be added),
    -multi frequencies, etc.

  2. V4  looks good. It's running faster than 3.2 and the coil appears more 'accelerated', a little more sensitive and responsive. It's strange for me to see minus discrimination...  I tested more than 200 hours with -6,4 discrimination but i didn't find any single target to show/hear  a value between -6.4 and 0.

The MI-6 pinpointer is like a normal one, it stays good in hand, it's submersible:

-with Deus you can adjust its sensitivity till 50, but at this level you can't use it in the field because it has a 50-60 cm (2') almost spherical range, (you'll not realize from what direction the target come) so i put sensitivity at 32 = it's about 7cm (3") depth,  it's fine.

    - you can change the sound and create 4 custom programs. It has a searching program if you loose it.

-the pinpointer's battery is very good. I detected 5-6 times x 8 hours and it's still at 60%.

    -i couldn't succeed to switch off the pinpointer's LED light (i tried 10-20 times :)) )

-the remote control's  battery in V4 with 11" coil and pinpointer has a higher consumption (+25%)  vs. V3.2 ( but you can count for 2 days, i used headphones, not RC's speaker)

-the 9" HFcoil's battery consumption is aprox. 1/3 lower than 11"s black (maybe a 3-4 days' use at 30-50 kHz ).

So far he has been testing on silver tiny coins and the performances are pretty good,i will keep u updated when I got more "solid" news .

I just bought the 9" HF coil and tested a couple of hours in a non-mineralized soil. Unfortunately it didn't explode my feelings...

In a garden test with gold between 2 old irons... couldn't hear the gold...

With 11" black coil in V4  I picked up frequently targets of 1x5 mm (0.04x0.2") at depths of 5-15 cm (2-6"). These targets were old irons but seen as non-ferrous.

  4. Steve and all fellows,

what is the real difference between the 2 HF coils? (we see the frequencies 50 and 80, and the dimmensions, what about their use and so on?)

it is strange that Xp didn't made a clear distinction between them before lunch (also they delete the link to info you put in your first message here...

My mate did more test today on nuggets of different size and shapes from Australia and changing frequency doesn't really affect the detection depth the V4 seems to turn the deus into a more capable gold prospecting machine but still it is not a GPZ.....

RR, can you provide more news from your friend regarding tests and settings on HF coil for nuggets?
