Wow. That is an awesome ring. Never seen one like it. Excellent.

Coils were made by hand by Lamar Cannon. Coil is very light despite its size. Made for TDI and SL with variable delay.

I have never used a detector to hunt gold. However I like coming here for some strange reason. I've even made a post or two...LOL. So having a Coin, Jewelry and Relic forum would keep me more interested. I think adding the extra forums will be sweet!
Same here. I dont prospect but always come here. I only hunt for gold jewelry and could care less about coins, relics etc. Have found a lot of excellent info here. Gold is gold. Looking forward to the new sections.

Thankfully we got the full insight on that box. Was looking forward to the specifics on the concrete flooring. Simply amazing.

Steve ...... and the gang. I am relaxing in my easy chair (lap-top front and center!!) grinning from ear to ear. "Like New Whites BigFoot Coil Only $525!" Within hours of reading those words I purchased that BigFoot Coil and did not even consider trying to negotiate a lower price. Actually, I asked a friend with better computer skills to make the purchase, then paid him the money. It is as advertised in excellent condition and works just fine. It is at this time sitting on a shelf (with lower shaft in place) but has not been used since the day that I took it out of the box. Why in the world would I do that? Well the truth is I have another BigFoot Coil, been using it for over ten years. And Steve, my BigFoot Coil is attached to a DFX just as yours is. I agree with you that they are a great combination for coins and jewelry in parks and playgrounds. They make that type of detecting so efficient that the thought of being without mine if something should go awry was more than I could take!!!! So, I just had to have the one that started this thread. Well, that's the story of where that BigFoot Coil ended up. I sleep better at night knowing it is there if I need it.
Thank you, Steve ,for putting this whole thing together!!! Thanks to all who contribute by sharing their knowledge and experience.
Enjoy the coil Joe. Best of luck and thanks again.

Very cool.Sounds like a great time.

My condolences to the Garrett family and much appreciation to them as well. My first real detector that sparked this out of control addiction was a Garrett and had several of them. Still have and use the ATX as well. Thank you.

Keep up the great work Reg. You know I will be first in line for anything that boosts/enhances TDI capabilities.

I paid the same. Fun machine. Wish I would have been more patient though. Got mine direct from Turkey soon as they were available. Detectors can be quite an expensive addiction.Steve,
Thanks for the clarification. I think you can understand me blowing off a little bit of steam, having spent about $1250 for mine. Water under the bridge now though.

Have you read this thread?

Yes, I have read that and it started off as a great thread until it went off the rails. Thank you
You can send it to Reg Sniff in Pueblo, CO. Just google his name and you'll find out where and how to contact him. He's the TDI guru and does all the mods (or has them done) that will turn your TDI into a brand new machine.
He does appear to be the guru and seems to appear in every search query result related to the mod. On some other posts I have read of his, it seemed as though he was no longer interested in performing the mod or something along those lines. I suppose it would not hurt to ask him. Would hate to bug him though if all that is required is turning a trim pot 14 degrees to the left or something like that. Thank you.

I recently acquired a through hole version of the TDI with the sole intent of modifying it to run the 8 uS pulse delay. Does anybody know the procedure for this? I will also need help in getting a coil to run properly with it as well. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for the ride. Very cool.

That pretty impressive. That's a lot of work...unless he is the only guy with a detector in NZ. I'm guessing Garrett will be utilizing that photo.

Have they specified a general ETA for release?

Excellent thread.

I am curious as to which machine you prefer for inland gold jewelry hunting and why. Always like learning about other peoples machines and methods.
Thank you.
