  1. I suppose we will never know who is doing well or not since our activity is very  , well you know. But I would go with hard work and determination also. I have seen a many detectorist out on good grounds and they find way less or nothing than some others. I know of one fella here in my area who uses an old Whites gold master v-sat and he is hitting multi-ouncers and bits with it....WHY ?? Because of his determination and he puts time behind his machine, and at times appears like its part of him...so you dont need the latest and greatest , just a will to succeed.

  2. Haha...that's good NuggetBob !! :) Soo true, the Gold Rush starts in the mind...and hits Fever Levels every time I think about heading out to hunt, which is often for me. The gold we find is just a reminder.....theirs more out there to be found....

  3. I use Detech coils on a regular base and find them very stable, they are built very well. I found this .9 gram nugget at 9-10 inches. Barely heard it, but with such a stable threshold I managed to hear it. I been over this spot with Commander coils and Nuggetfinder coils and missed it, since that nugget many more were found. I am not sure about the detectors but I think I saw a video on U-Tube of someone testing a Detech Gold Catcher.post-489-0-09210400-1425223713_thumb.jpg

  4. Chris,

I was their with the boy and girl scouts, it was our trip to the museum, I did not see the gold display, wish I knew about it. But now I am well aware that their is a fish net wearing bars maid and saloon, I can kill two birds with one visit.  Sacramento is a pretty cool place, and many things to see including the Fort??? dang whats it's name? Escapes my mind right now, next to it is the Native American Museum worth seeing both...
