  1. Waiting to hear from you about M8 underwater. I dove once with it, and worked very well. In the next months I will be underwater very frequently... With Manticore, and Equinox 800 Seaghost as backup.

  2. M15 sees bigger objectives deeper and stronger, but smaller/thinner less deep, compared to M11 and M8.

What I have found is that M15 works better through black sand and on those micro accumulation of little objectives in the sand.

In my beaches, M15 is incredible.

Yes, and it doesn't always detect it. I'm using, with M8, the Dankowski set of settings, and I've gotten some really incredible results; It's a laser. What happens is that after 2 hours my listening fatigue is brutal.

With M15 I go exactly the opposite: on the quietest sensitivity setting, since with the M15 the depth is given by the physics of the coil itself.

Generally I always hunt on the beach, and with each coil, I know that I am looking for a different type of objective, so I adapt to it, the circumstances and the objective I am pursuing.

  4. Finally my M15 arrived.

It's light for its size, and managed the Emi surprisingly better than I thought.

It's super deep in the salty beaches.

I have tested it only for an hour, and is soon to give a certain verdict, but I think could be interesting for very deep objectives, and for the summer at the beaches.

  5. I have mine for a month and a half. This little thing is incredible deep for it's size, and covers very nice compared to M11.

I use it in mineralized salty beaches, beach low Conductores, prospecting audio, with a sensibility of 30. Really surprised with the outcomes.

  6. Another answer on Tom's forum

    Hello Tom!

I was detecting M8, LC on Friday and in very similar conditions to previous days.

The beach is still open and continues to produce, although not at the same rate, since we have already removed the most detectable signals.

Stable vdi 10 signal, about 30 cm (11" approx), a handmade, artisan ring. I have no idea how old it may be, but it is beautiful.

I didn't go below 4 RS and could run 30 sens.

    Manticore is different.

    Hello Joe,

It is very impressive but I'm sure it won't translate into that depth on the beach........I'd love to get 18" (my test gold ring) in buried damp/wet beach sand. At this stage, it is my main beach detector but any true water work will still likely be the Excalibur and old Sea Hunter.

If EMI is low, M11, Dankowski set-up, I'm sure you'll get it. Sure

  8. I'm going to share with you what I reply to Tom at his forum:

Thank you very much Tom for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm with us. I have followed your advice, and little by little I have been mastering the machine, to the point that on beaches and places where with the Equinox 800 and 6" coil I could only execute sensitivity 23, with the Manticore and the M8 I have managed to reach levels sensitivity 30, and recovery speed 3, although a little chattering.

I have worked a salt sand beach with medium low iron where it has removed some sand, and I have gone very slowly. The results have been, in general, coins from the 1950's to the 1990's, various old objects from the War that took place here in the 1930's, some current coins, and some gold.

    There have been 4 sessions:

1.- Manticore coil M11 2 hours to reconnoiter the terrain
    2.- Manticore coil M8 3 hours
    3.- Manticore coil M8 2 hours
    4.- Manticore coil M8 3 hours

The best thing is that I have noticed that I have reached the lower stable layer, where the objects are stable. M11 super deep, but I didn't finish getting the gold. M8 very deep, and the one that has made the difference by taking out the gold.

On the 4 occasions I have gone with a partner who was using XP Deus 2 with a 9" coil. Manticore with M8 obtained the same depth and resolution as the Deus and 9"

The gold has come out at 15" levels, except for the fine ring, which came out at around 9". I'm experiencing a hallucinogenic sidereal trip with the Manticore.

I don't understand your question or the context--what post it's in response to.

Thanks Clive: the initial threw, were you described the Dankowski setting and you said:

(...) .  This brings in the machine’s filtering (bias) to  assist in  pushing the “random” part of the signal  down into the iron tone.  The noise of this iron tone takes some getting used to but the results are surprising.

Clive, in this extra mode, I understand you that those extradeep targets will sound still ferrous? Is that correct?

If yes, that means we have to dig every ferrous sound? Or is something special in that particular ferrous sounf targets that could tell us that are pushed by that "special" configuration?
