This stuff is not uncommon in Northern Nevada. I have a few, just not nearly that large. Though one is so folded that if I unfolded it it would triple in apparent size. Not a doubt in my mind it's naturally occurring gold, which has far more range in appearance than most people realize. In this case what we are looking at is commonly referred to as ribbon gold.

Great finds, Travis! What detector(s) do you swing?
Thanks lunk. I was using the Equinox 800 for those pieces.

Those are nice. I haven't made it to Idaho yet for a hunt because Gerry didn't invite me! haha
I've had other friends find some unique gold up there. I'd like to be able to have 1 Idaho nugget.

Travis: Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your finds with us. Some nice looking pieces and congratulations on your finds. If you don't mind me asking, did these come from a creek or from a dredge tailings or some other source. Just curious. Best wishes for continued success.
Thank you I appreciate it. To answer your question, yes some came from piles and some came from surrounding areas.
