Yeah, I think the 9" coil is by far the most favored, but I do always use the 11" at the beach because there's just so much ground to cover, few targets, and I'm looking for the greatest depth.Â

Being that I have both the 9 and the 11", if I had to part with one I would keep the 9", just because it's a do anything coil. Definitely easier to use in the thick areas of the woods and tight spots. Just my opinion though.Â

A 9" coil is lighter weight, more balanced, and easier to get around stuff if hunting in the bush or around obstacles.Â
The 11" is great for the beach, open areas, like fields or pastures.Â
Both work extremely well. You could get better depth with the 11" on larger targets. It is a personal option on what you're used too, and what you're looking to do. I use both and love both coils. 9" for the yard, woods, 11" at the beach, or open areas with less trash. I actually wish they made a smaller one around 7", or 5x7".

OK, thank you. I was beginning to think that it was just my headphones.Â

In Park mode, using the wireless headphones, when adjusting the volume of the threshold, I can go up to 11 and I still hear nothing over the headphones, but when I go up one to 12, I get a loud blare sound. I'm currently using v1.07, and have had this issue since the beginning. The Threshold works as normal over the detector speaker. Obviously the Threshold should be off at zero, and should gradually increase as I go up. Is anyone else still having this problem? Is this a known issue that will be corrected in the next update? Thanks.

Coil mounting about 1/3 up from tail seem to work well for me, still gives me the center to see for pp and don't nose up.
I agree, 1/3 of the way to the center would be fantastic. I have the 6" coil, and it would be great there for adjusting and balance.Â

I know that iron bias has already been addressed. Please re-examine the FerroCheck feature as it should be giving a more accurate identification of the target, and seems that it doesn't give a good indication of targets at depth, or no indication at all. I guess my main thought would be greater sensitivity, if that would be possible.
Additionally, even at higher recovery speeds it seems that non-ferrous targets are still being masked by ferrous ones that are in high trash environments even when using the smaller 6" coil.Â
I know that almost all detectors struggle with bottle caps (non-aluminum). If you could improve on this by providing a setting for bottle cap reject, or possibly incorporated into the FerroCheck analysis of the target. The iron bias, when incorporated, may also improve on this.Â

I really like it too, probably more than some of my others. I think it has potential, but I will be glad to get past all these updates, and when the bugs get worked out. Seems it was released too early.Â

No, when I up updated to v1. 07 it kept my four saved profiles.Â

Jeff,  Get a fine point white paint pen to fill in the button details. It REALLY helps you see them.
Yeah, I got one of those fine point paint pen kits, picked gold, painted in the buttons, and later put the Legend cover on it so I wouldn't wear the paint off, and it seems to be a great combo. At least I can see the buttons in low light or rain, water, etc.Â
Great idea, Thank you.Â

Yes, obviously the Threshold, standardized in all modes and frequencies. 0-being off, and then gradual increases in volume for each notch, the loudest being 10. Please emphasize stability. Also ensure that it is playing over the wireless headphones just as it does over the detector speaker.Â
Please verify that VDI readings from targets, are standardized through all modes, and as you change from different frequencies. I had a problem with a high conducive coin giving a higher value after scrolling through all the frequencies an then back to M2, from initially turning it on, but that was also with v1. 06.Â
Please see if you can figure out why the detector screen will just freeze up to where none of the buttons respond, except for the power button, which when pressed for around twenty seconds the detector finally turned off. It did work fine again when I turned it back on, and has only happened once.Â
Thank you for such a great detector.

Deus 2, 9 Or 11 Inch Coil?

Yeah, you think that the engineers would have figured that out and implemented it by now. Take for instance the N/M 7" concentric coil, mount in the middle, perfect. Then you have the N/M 6" coil for the Legend, and it's all the way over to the side. The same for XP's 11x13" coil, not mounted in the center, nose heavy. You see people making gadgets so that the shaft mounts in the middle. I've dealt with engineers my whole life. That's why I kept a bottle of Advil in my top drawer. 🤣
