Some excellent gold in this thread. I normally don't post many pics of gold for a couple of reasons.
1, I got sick of seeing it turn up on someone elses farcebook page and 2, because I live isolated and by myself I don't really want too many people seeing what I might have and pay me a visit for the wrong reasons.
I don't mind posting pics of stuff I've sold or am selling though.
This is a specimen I found a few weeks back. Was having a piddle and spotted it on top of the ground winking at me. Contained 25.5 gr if I remember correctly.
I called it the piddle patch and it's still producing, so far just over 3oz.
This is 10.5gr from the patch a couple of days ago
Not too far from there I hit a decent patch that produced a fair few sizable bits last year and still has more to give up.
This is one I parted with that went 95gr

Thanks Trent for the detailed reply. I'd love the big unit but portability and weight is a concern as I'm by myself.
I've got a Keen petrol one but it's in bad shape and needs a new motor, plus as you said, multiple passes are needed.
The little Armstrong seems the go.
Cheers!

Enio, if you ever do get to WA you're always welcome at my camp and the beer is my shout.
Welcome!

not at the price of that one on GPA...swap for a new model 4500 in excellent condition

Nice gold and love the interesting J piece.
Have had up to 400 mm of rain here in the gold fields of W.A. so the ground is saturated, but uniformly saturated.
Finding the 7000 is coping remarkably well, and if anything, it's coping better in some places I'm hitting at the moment than when I've previously swung there in the dry.

Hi Folks,
this is probably more aimed at the Aussies here on the forum Just wondering if anyone is using or has an experience with the Armstrong industries (perth WA) GRB 777 Mini impact crusher?
If so, how'd you rate it?

Would You Still Be Detecting For Gold If The Price Was Under $300 Per Ounce?

very fortunate that it costs me nothing to go prospecting so if the priced dropped its guts I'd still be in front.
