Lost ours out in the sticks lol.
Where to get a replacement charging cable for the Minelab WM-12?
Thanks.

Thanks Fred.

Doc and Rob are experts on all things booster. I'd contact them. I don't think Bill sells them.
Mitchel
Contacting Doc right now.
Good advice. Thanks.

You can plug the booster either into the GPZ directly or into the WM12 module. Either will work, but plugging direct into the GPZ is going to result in better audio quality since there is always some loss employing wireless audio.
Can the booster/speaker combo be attached to the custom canvas cover of the 7000?
And where in the US can we find this combo?
I searched but couldn't find the combo only the booster.
Thanks for putting up with all the questions... new users and getting up to speed.

Yeah we're up here in sage brush country too (Northern Nevada).
Thanks Steve.

Just to clarify we can run the WM-12, plug the booster into that and then use speakers (no headphones) if we choose.
Is that correct?
-
Thanks as always Steve.
You do good work.

Just found JP's blog post comparing the two coils.
Answers my question but am still open to input.

How is the B&Z Booster set up with the 7000?
Thanks.

My brother and mining partner is a Master Mechanic with Ford so that's what we use... a big Ford 4x4 truck.
We are in the market for the Desert Fox for the reasons you describe...
Looking forward to it!
Nice set-up you got there.

What's the current feedback on the GPZ-19 coil?
Good to have?
Thanks.

It doesn't look like Minelab offers replacement WM12 batteries after looking at their site.
If anyone knows how to get a replacement battery please post it here.
We’re all about backups when in the field for days.
Thanks.

I see you guys talking about audio boosters for the WM-12.
Is there a setup you can recommend?
Thanks.

Thanks Steve.

Just got the GPZ.
Should we be doing both a software and firmware update?
Rookie questions I know but I’m a GPZ rookie lol.
-
Maybe I missed it but what is meant by the “semi-auto” mode for Ground Balancing?
-
Been wearing headphones while detecting for years.
Now that we’re running the GPZ I see some respected GPZ users on here that run without them.
Would love to ditch the ‘phones...
Thoughts?

Northeast that is awesome.
Thanks!

Been detecting a few years (Garrett) but no experience with the guide arm.
Sounds like it'll be used on the new Zed.
Thanks!

Rail Dawg,
Very Little Mineralization, not in my book! This time of the year the soil is damp and the Rye Patch soil comes alive with its Mineralization. Start off with factory settings this time of the year, tweak as needed, low and slow and your hunting gold.

Good point!
We’ve only been detecting there when dry.

Heading to Rye Patch, NV next week with new detector.
Very little mineralization out there and far away from any type of EMI.
Looking to go as deep as possible.
Reading the manual cover-to-cover but thought you all could provide some guidance on the initial settings.
Thanks!

Just got a new GPZ-7000.
Anyone use the GA-10 Guide Arm?
Thanks.

Glad to know I was mistaken about issues with the 7000 in the beginning.
Getting a bullet-proof used one for $2500+ less may be just the ticket.
-
Seeing some barely-used gpz 7000's coming across the auction block.
Weren't there early ones that had issues?
If so how were these issues resolved?
How can you tell if the unit on the auction block is not one of these?
Having not owned one yet I'm a little behind and appreciate any feedback.
