presume you are 'clicking' the button and not just holding it in. when I first got mine I thought that holding the + button in would up the volume but the found it needed constant clicks. it gives a tune when the limit is reached

well Done! over here in the UK I have been using  2 tones. low for iron and high for everything else. this really picks out the non-ferrous targets

The thing I dislike most about the 800 is it gets dirty when I use it.

I had mine in the first batch so have been using it since then. I like it so much I have sold my CTX and am looking forward to getting the other coils for it.

Did exactly the same with my CTX took me a good half hour to find the problem

I 've put a deposit on a 800 because I visit Oz on a regular basis and it will be ideal for those flakes of gold. here in the UK I want wireless like my CTX
