  1. Picked mine up yesterday and got out for an hour in a local park that is well hunted but still produces silver. I was blown away by how light and easy to swing this coil is. I ran it in park 1 with the same settings I use with the both the stock and small coil. It basically reacted to all targets exactly as the stock coil and actually pinpointed very well. I was able to pop up one silver Rosie dime that was under a root at about 7 inches. Compared the my CTX 17" coil, this was an absolute pleasure to swing. Can't wait to put more hours in with it, especially at the beach.

  2. Just picked mine up from my dealer. He received three and all are sold.  A few not so surprising observations - light as hell to swing, not as deep in my test garden as stock coil, and able to run sens a few numbers higher. Pretty much what is to be expected with a small coil. Definitely gonna be fun to swing. Probably won't get in the field with it till next weekend. I'll take it to a few well hunted cellar holes that still occasionally produce.

  3. Was just playing with mine in my backyard and it started going crazy as well after about ten minutes. Regardless of mode or frequency. Turned the sensitivity down but no change until I got it down to about 5. Was running it where I usually do in my backyard 18-19. Cellphone in house. I did a factory reset. The battery was showing full when I got out there (has about a two hour hunt on it) and a few minutes later it started going nuts. Now the battery is showing down one notch. I'm going to charge it up full and see what happens tomorrow. Fingers crossed it was just something stupid.

  4. I stopped looking at my depth meter because mine doesn't appear to be accurate at all. Almost every target indicates 8-10 inches but when dug targets are usually closer to 4-6". Makes me wonder what coin they calibrated it too. I don't even use the pinpoint, I just drag the coil toward me until the signal stops. Easier for me.

  5. To be honest, in a few of the spots I've hunted the ID numbers are all over the place, and I've used only Park 1 to date. Copper pennies at one park are coming in at 21-27, with some clad dimes actually lower, 25-26.  At another spot older wheats are 18-19.  Clad quarters seem consistent at 31. Way early for me with the Equinox, but the CTX ID seems more accurate so far. Light weight and razor quickness are another story however, and I am pulling more targets out of junk by far with the Nox.  I just can't figure out what they are with confidence as of yet. Can't wait to get it on the beach to compare it to the CTX.
