I just talked to them via the chat window.  She said they don't do the 15% Minelab discount, but Cabela's does offer a 5% military discount.

 

I just contacted my dealer that I have been working with. He says Cabela's does not have any in stock. Cabela's is just drop shipping them and are on a similar allocation like everybody else.  I would not be dropping any orders from someone until you find out for sure what is true and if Cabela's is not just building up a preorder list themselves. All you that have dropped an order and have ordered from Cabela's keep us informed on if you get them as they say. I certainly am not going to give up my spot with one dealer and trust someone that says I can get them right away. When the word gets out like this just imagine how many are going to go to flock to the Cabela's website. You might get caught up in a longer wait. I am getting a 15% and I can wait. I have a Safari to detect with, but in my case, I would be digging ice anyway.

P/S you just may be moving my order up and I will get it sooner.  Go ahead.... Make my day

I just called Kellyco today. They are receiving a "small" shipment again from what they hear. All that was on the first shipment is shipped to the customers. They know that Minelab said that the goal is to have all backorders completed by the end of March, but more than just a few need to be shipped to them they said.  They also said that with the Youtube and other reviews on the Equinox out they are getting a bunch of pre-orders again. Now my thoughts are, how is anyone going to have stock in their shops if pre-orders are continuing?  
Time will tell.

I would not doubt 1000. A week ago I was informed by one of the sales persons that they were getting 10 orders a day. I ordered from them Dec 6th. At that point, they said I should be on the second shipment. With less than 10 in the last shipment,  I think that is not so true anymore. I hoping that the first shipment was by air and there is a boatload full being sent out now. Kellyco does not seem to have a lot of information. 

I have the Safari if spring comes before the Equinox. 

Any updates can be downloaded by the user.

From what I was told is all the pre-orders worldwide are going to be filled first.  Then I heard that all preorders will be filled by the end of next month. If people keep preordering will there any be on a shelf?  I called KellyCo last week and they told me they were receiving 10 orders a day. If pre-orders are continuing will there be any on the shelves?  I ordered the 800 on Dec 6th. Kellyco has no information, or not releasing information, on them receiving any from Minelab yet.  They said they would text me immediately when they get more information.

My guess is you are being fed a line.  Kellico is one of the biggest dealers and to keep the dealership with Minelab they need to keep some information from being leaked and strictly follow Minelabs rules.  I am guessing they have some in, but Minelab's requirement is to keep the release date from being leaked. Suspense. I still say the first shipments will all be released at one time over the world.  Then the second wave of detectors will be released as soon as the dealers receive them.  We will all get them by Springtime I am hoping. Come to think of it, Spring is just about  6 weeks away.  Just my opinion. 

Doesn't the Equinox have the capability to download updates/fixes online?  I thought I read that somewhere.

Why don't they have us all show up in front of the nearest Deus or AT Max user's house at the same time and taunt them with our new Equinoxes while the Minelab blimps and drones take pictures of us all doing it across the world at a synchronized predetermined flash mob time.  Lol.

The dealers in Austrailia probably will get them first if they ship worldwide all at once. With a delay, it would show there are no preferences. I did not hear this from Minelab. 
 

I am sure Minelab will have some kind of filming of someone opening up one of the first ones. 

I was also told that gold mode will be selectable single frequency, not multi-IQ like the other modes. What ever that is, I am waiting to learn the Nox800.

I was also told 11:00 am Eastern time on the 2nd to check the minelab site for an announcement.  

I heard from my dealer that once dealers receive the shipment they may be required to release them on a date determined by Minelab.  The purpose of this is to release them all on the same day all over the world.  So if your dealer says he has them, be patient for him to ship them to you or to release them. Minelab has strict policies for dealers to follow.  Just want you to be prepared if this is the case. 

I have been watching the Minelab site for the add to change from Soon to out. I am excited but I would like to see those that can actually go out and dig get them soon. I am still frozen here in Minnesota and probably for the next 6 weeks, depending on if the groundhog sees the shadow. I still have my Safari if it does not get here soon.

P/S

I just bought 2 of those wireless modules for my Safari and the old Pioneer. They work fine with testing them. It will be nice to be detached from the detectors. (running nekid) :)  I am keeping all my detectors. Never know when company comes. (Like the grandkids)

They work with any Bluetooth headphones. There are some cheap Bluetooth phones on the market. Use them as a spare to keep wireless if your headphone battery dies. 
Steve, have you tried other brand Bluetooth headphone on the Equinox?

I was told that a few weeks back when I pre-ordered from a very large dealer. They said I'd problably be looking at the second shipment but I would most likely have it before the ground thawed. They have insite on how may orders they have.    I think It all depends on how fast the production is and how many they can ship out at a time. Early Spring on the tundra in Minnesota is still rock hard.  I just as soon see those with thawed ground have their detectors first so I could read the reviews. 
P/S I still have my Safari to hunt with if it comes a little later in the Spring.

Ordered mine Dec 6 at 4:01 PM.  I check here a couple times a day to see if anyone is getting them and seeing the new reviews. 
I have not been able to get on the Minelab site this afternoon. I wonder if they are down for updates.
