I'm learning, OH BOY.  LOL  I stopped and read the instructions again after your posts and you guys are on the money. Default first section in Park is set at 2 volume and in field and beach its default at 1. I bumped my first section (1-10) up in volume and it beeps out well now.  Thanks a bunch,  Joe

Jeff, all I can tell you is my Volume is at 4  .  Is there a volume for just iron?  If its in single tone, it sounds off really good.

Why won't my Legend sound, in all metal mode, on a metal screw or washer unless i put it in a single tone? I even went over a  metal tent stake and it doesn't sound off.  If I have it in either 2 or 4 tones it hits all other stuff great and if i wave the screw or washer over it, I hear a very very faint tone.  Any thoughts.  I am using V1.07.  Thanks

Wow, I want to sell a Fisher Gold Bug Pro and all this makes me nervous.  I have no PayPal account anymore after I got hacked through that. (Big headache) I guess I’ll just keep it in my stable. Always a good detector if a friend wants to give detecting a try.   Sad world we live in.  

I am joining the update club, Borrowed my daughters laptop and it was quite easy to do.  Seems fool proof, lucky for me.

Maybe a friend will let you use his/her computer for the upload. There are videos that walks you through the download and upload making it easy.

 

Borrowed my daughters Laptop (windows) update was Easy Peasy.  Now running 1.07.  Thanks for kickin my butt to do it.   Joe

I’m new to the Legend also. Only my second day and only testing in my yard.  I also am only running V1.05 due to the fact I have neither operating system they say to update with. But, 1.05 seems to be running good and hopefully I will figure out how to get V1.07 downloaded sooner or later. But for now, I’m a happy camper.

Seems update disappeared from their website, just 1.05 is there! Unless I’m missing something…

Funny about the man flu part (not that your sick), my wife is the same way. I could have the sniffles and on the couch for me. She just shakes her head.

Since there's not a  twist lock, is there any movement (wiggles) in the shaft? Or after extending other than the snap lock, does it firm up somehow?

Ditto on all the comments here. I have had stuff stolen and it sucks. Hope they track them down Jason and you recover.

It would be nice to see this happen.  I would be "concerned" if they don't catch the bus soon.

That’s a tuff target there. Do a factory reset and start over to find the best settings to recover. Many question if a new detector is working, especially if new to the game, I’m sure it is.

Yes a thread from last year, but dang, those oranges look good...  Wouldn’t mind having some of that tasty gold. Up here in NY our oranges are,,,    well, yuk.

I may be wrong but I thought I have heard (many years ago) some playgrounds use ground up or chipped up recycled tires under or mixed with wood chips, some being steal belted?

Where did I hear this, don’t know so I have no backing on this.

For me it traveling through farmland and fields of corn for miles. (relic hunter) . The only gold I hunt is through my eyes and this site. So yes, would like to see pictures of your travels to the gold.

Pic is of one of my permissions, hunt the field borders until harvest then the fields.

I know the Equinox 600 is a great detector and I will never part with it, but I know, for right now, my T2 so much better that I am starting with the smaller coil for that and go from there,  I also know hitting a nugget in NY is like trying to win the lottery but, I will learn the coil and have fun doing it.  Then, Maybe convince the wife for a couple weeks, yearly I hope, vacation out west and give it a whirl.
